- It is situated about 50 kms from Varna, 60 kms from the airport along a new fast road making access very straightforwad. Built along the coast line, near the beach the area has recently been included in the local goverment plans for expansion, offering high returns for the potential invester. At the coast one can see a protective bank, dating back to the early years of the Bulgarian state.
- The area around St. Atanas Monastery holds the remains of an ancient fortress.
